Company History

OrthoPro was started in 2003 with the company direction focusing on the foot and ankle market. Seeking out Podiatrists and Orthopedic Surgeons for design input, the company set out on creating innovative products for foot and ankle surgery. The first product developed was the STS Subtalar Spacer System designed to provide a minimally invasive answer for flexible flatfoot deformity.

As this new product quickly became successful in the marketplace the company started work on additional new products. The company later released the CSS Cannulated Screw System for use in midfoot and forefoot surgeries. This screw system has become one of the products OrthoPro is known for in the industry because of its popularity among foot and ankle surgeons. With the widest range of sizes all in one system, along with being a cost effective option for hospitals and surgical centers, the OrthoPro CSS Cannulated Screw System is used across the country in hundreds of facilities.

As distribution and sales increased througout the country OrthoPro continued its focus on developing innovative products for the market. With this focus and the design input of several foot and ankle surgeons the company developed the Rx-Fix Mini Rail External Fixator. The Rx-Fix has several patents due to the remarkable capabilities of this product. It is the only mini rail external fixator that allows for variable pin placement in transverse and frontal planes. Following completion of the Rx-Fix the company placed focus on designing a Hemiarthroplasty Implant. The Metal Hemi was developed with specific input from surgeons to ensure an effective and easy to use implant system. The OrthoPro Metal Hemi incorporates specific design features including a dorsally elevated stem to provide a very effective implant for first metatarsal-phalangeal joint surgery.

By maintaining focus on the foot and ankle market OrthoPro has growth to be trusted name in surgical facilities across the country. The company strives to provide the best possible training to it's sales reps and to surgeons interested in using OrthoPro Products. In 2009 OrthoPro started development and testing of a new compression plate system unlike any other. This TCP Total Compression Plate System released in 2010 provides surgeons with a true compression plate incorpating manual compression with internal fixation. With a variety of plate sizes and configurations the TCP system has already gained a reputation as the "go-to" system for true compression capability.
